I just read over my last post and I really have to start proof-reading properly because it didn’t make any sense. I was obviously train-dazed. Hanging with some of Andrey’s friends tonight in Kiev because I can’t catch the bus til the morning
GAR! So that means that I only have one whole day in Donetsk before I leave.
Anyways, this is what I did in Slovkia: walked around Pezinok (Martina’s hometown), went to the Aquapark and relaxed in the bubbles, pipetted wine (made by Martina’s parents), tried traditional Slovak Christmas biscuits, had real hot chocolate, had fried cheese (!!!!!!!), had the BEST PIZZA OF MY LIFE, went skiing for the first time (without getting injured), surprised an American when I said that we have Pizza Hut in NZ (HAHAHA!), walked around and saw old Bratislava, watched the professional Pezinok basketball team practice, saw Martina’s basketball team practice and of course I talked to Martina for ages… the best part is that it really didn’t feel like I hadn’t seen her in 2 and a half years. How can I explain it… ? It felt really normal seeing her… It felt like I was talking to her two weeks ago, not 2 years ago… It was really awesome being able to hang out with her and she’s exactly the same
I’m definitely going back to Slovkia.
Just goes to show that you never really stop loving someone, you just forget how much you love them.
