Went to AU for the first day of orienation week. Hm, I didn’t go today, hopefully I didn’t miss something important. Shit, I should have checked. Apparently we’re meant to go everyday… but whatever.
After a brief spell of getting both lost and wet ,Kelsey and I parted way with the engineers (Becca, Chris, Iris) and found the Arts room. We got a Uniguide named Amber with red hair (ironically… or not… I don’t actually know the proper meaning of ironic.) After the first 5 minutes she actually forgot that I was in her group and asked if I’d lost my Uniguide group and this was after she had taken down my details including name, dob and id number… But then again I can’t guarantee that I wouldn’t if it were me… So I really shouldn’t make a big deal out of it, but here I am making something of it because I feel like it.
We walked around for like 2 hours… the campus is HUGE and there is so much to see… After this Kelso and I went to the special event. It was this guy talking about the beginning of Uni, very interesting, very funny. I can’t remember his name… but then again I didn’t have to write it down… or his dob.
We met up with everyone else up at Shadows (Uni pub YES!). We grabbed lunch. I met an international student from Venuzula named Juan (who was really cool) who the engineers had met in their Uniguide group which sounded really fun and interesting. Our group was quite quiet and didn’t seem very interested in making friends with each other. I asked 3 people what their names were and talked with two others. Our group was rather reserved. We had lunch there. YUM!
