Garlic.

Do not eat raw garlic. I just had some sauce that my dad made which consists of garlic, lemon and soy sauce. VERY TASTY. I didn’t eat the garlic because it’s so strong and makes your mouth go all dry and gross. I think I’m going to try and avoid the raw garlic-lemon-soya sauce sauce because it’s made my mouth all garlicy even though I fully avoided the garlic bits. The sauce is supposed to aide in cold and flu prevention. Nothing is going to come near you if your breath stinks that bad, is it?

I started work again this week! MONEY! And as we all know Money= Good. Becca and I’ve been doing it since before our first concert… so since the July holidays in Yr 11. I fully had blank out moments… it’s so weird… When you’re packing brochures it feels like time stops and there is not beginning and end to what you’re doing. It’s just one order after another… Working today seemed slower than yesterday. It’s like school. You’re in class and you feel like the day is going by SOOOOO S-L-O-W-L-Y and then all of a sudden it’s Friday and you don’t know where the week has gone. Highlight of the day: getting to scan our fingerprints into the machine so we can clock in and out all by ourselves :D YAY!

I didn’t realise how not doing any form of exercise for almost a month can mean you’ll almost be a cripple after you try and play hockey again. Weirdly it’s my groin muscles that hurt the most. Yesterday, The Botany Bolts got to take to the turf for the first time as a team in a couple of friendly games against some of the other summer league teams. We lost the first game… BUT they weren’t playing by the proper summer hockey rules which states that you have to have at least 3 girls on the turf, (but neither were we for some of it.) And we won the second match… it wasn’t really a proper match though because we just had one massive first half and didn’t have a second half which was good because it was getting dark and the lights weren’t going to come on. The Botany Bolts which played yesterday were: Me, Sophie, Lili, Matthew, Zak, Lud, Herman and Grove. Because we there were 8 of us and only 7 on the turf at a time we had one sub… or putting it more accurately, someone had to sit out. Grove volunteered at the beginning of the first game. I saw him sitting on the edge of the dugout and felt sorry for him because he’s been REALLY looking forward to this game. I know this because he drew up PC game plans, got his braces coloured black and yellow-our team colours and apparently every time Lud went to his house it was ALL he talked about. Definately enthusiastic.
We have awesome black and yellow uniforms so we look totally pro.
I didn’t play as well as I could have. This is because I was a retard and decided NOT to try hard because I was getting chest pains because I’ve turned into a lazy blob since hockey finished about a month ago. AND because I was totally intimidated by the level of players on our team. I feel like a retard with a stick compared with the rest of the team. I didn’t on the school’s girl team because there are 11 of our players spread out on a GIANT turf AND because I know how girls play. The summer league is mixed and boys play so much harder and faster than girls… so my skills are way under par compared to the team as a whole which basicallly comprises the best girls and boys from our First XI teams. ARGH! But I decided that I just have to run lots to improve my game.

I FULLY should be doing my Biology internal right now. We were given over a month to do it but of course I didn’t start until this past Sunday. I didn’t start it straight away… I don’t think anyone started it straight away because WE HAD EXAMS. WHO WOULD THINKS THAT IT’D BE A GOOD IDEA TO GIVE STUDENTS AN INTERNAL ASSESSMENT JUST BEFORE THE MOCK EXAMS? And another reason I’m fully hating on this is because it’s research. I hated it this year and I’m hating it this year. BUT I would choose this over the stupid experiment thing we did with potatoes last year. We’re going to get 5 lessons of Bio to write the report SO that means that we won’t get our exam marks back until the 2nd week of term 4 when we got every other subject back before the end of term… The weird thing is that even after all the stressing I was doing last week because we didn’t have any proper internet I’m fully not taking this seriously. I’ve only got 9 websites… and haven’t even read through all of them. I wonder if I’m going to pass this.
