Second Draw Down

Who knew playing dress up is just as fun as it was when we were little. Dress up!! It was fun as. Vanessa’s 16th Birthday party was an important event and the dress code was something beginning with S….. There was only one option, STARFISH!! We had admired these costumes worn by 5 yr olds at Point View Primary when we went to see a presentation. Every year had done something different and the 5/6 yr olds did an under the sea thing. We had to get the starfish outfits. With assistance from the very kind Mrs Wendzich we got them to wear for Saturday night!!

So we get to the cafe in our outfits and we make our grand entrance with little acknowledgement. Thanks guys. I know I had a blast. The music was good, they had hired a jukebox!! YAY!!! There were disco lights and a SMOKE MACHINE!! AHHHH… so awesome. The food was sooooooo good, the crab wonton thingys were the best. Of course what would a birthday party be without the games. We played pass the parcel, musical statues and there was another one….. um… At least I thought there was. Ok, I think it was just those two. The Starfish won for best group costume yay. Oooo, and another thing about the food was the cake. I think it was the best birthday cake ever. Mmmmm and those little chocolate cup things with cream and strawberries were nice as too….. After a hard night of dancing and acting like fools we headed off to Vanessa’s house in Anoushka’s car which is very interesting. Yes. The car is interesting. Then we went to my house ‘cos people’s stuff was there and I got changed and stuff… yeah… anyway. We went back across the road and watch Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Man’s Chest. I like the pun they sort of made with it, because you know the inside the chest was Davy Jones’ heart and in a normal person the chest is where the heart is… hm, yea. I found it boring because I was really really tired and the movie wasn’t that engaging. After the movie we headed outside to the TENT! which we help set up the day before. Sadly half of the tent had caved in, no fault of the builders. We talked and chatted in the darkness for sometime then I had the amazing idea to go outside and look at the stars. Ooo.. the stars were pretty. 5 of us hopped on the tramp. There was Zak, Vanessa, Ludwig, Becca and me. It was funny. We were trying to lie there but the tramp was small and all of us together was rather big. There were legs, arms and shoulders everywhere. I seriously didn’t realise how bony Ludwig is….. EAT MORE CAKE!!! As the stars started to disappear and the birds start to reappear I went back into the tent to get some shut eye. Mmmm sleep was good. I needed some sleep or I was going to be too tired for Chinese School. I don’t know why I bothered because I fell asleep in class anyway. Got up at about 8ish, I don’t remember, to find that the people I left on the tramp were still there and hadn’t slept at all. iNtErStInG. Had a very very very yummy and healthy breakfast of pancakes and fruit. YUM! Then I had to leave so that I could get to my weekly torture on time.

Overall the party/sleepover was fun and delicious.
