Second Draw Down

Today is Sunday, exactly 15 sleeps until my very first external examination and I STLL haven’t started studying. I drew a timetable exactly a week ago and I haven’t followed it at all. GOSH! Today I’m meant to be studying Unfamiliar Texts for English. I don’t think I need to do much for English though. We are studying heaps and heaps during class. For French I think that I’ll just do what we’re doing in class and then study the night before the exam. French and English are by far my best subjects. They are super easy. This is contrasted by Science and Maths. What sucks is that I have one French and one English exam but I have one Maths and THREE Science. Grr. Science is hard. Lets see… here are my results for everything… lets just share them with everyone:

English: E, E, M, M, M

French: E, M, E <—- I was sooo close to getting straight E’s, all I needed was to add an extra word in a sentence for my reading paper and it would have been an E.

Maths: E, E, M, M, M

Biology: A, A, M

Chemistry: E, E, M.

Physics: A, M

In the last two topics tests for Science, one Chemistry and one Physics I got A’s! One of them I was sooo close to getting a NA and I thought I would have ‘cos Mr Hart let us mark them ourselves and I got a NA when I added it up. Then he looked over them and he gave me an extra A from one of the calculations.  For half of the test I actually got a M which was the explainy bit, no surprise, but my calculations were miserable. Chemistry was just as bad. I didn’t study for either of the tests. I think that the Chemistry one was worse though because I didn’t know a lot of the stuff we needed to learn. The other day Miss Davies said that we would have a mock test on Metals, Acids & Bases and Carbon & Organic Chemistry. I STUDIED and it was really really good study, then we didn’t have it… GRR…. According to my timetable I’m not meant to be studying Chemistry until Wednesday 15 November which is 10 days away. My timetable is pretty much useless, the only thing it’s good for is telling what I’m not studying.

Studying is hard and I can’t seem to study during the day, just like I tried to do before. The only motivation that really works for me is deadline pressure, which means that I waste a lot of time. I’ll try studying again when it’s darker. I seem to study much harder and better when it’s after dinner, it’s dark and I’m in my pj’s.
