I’ve started playing Neopets again just because there isn’t much else to do. Grr… Martina wants to meet up with me and I don’t think I have the time. Right now it’s the longest weekend of the year. I say this because my parents are not at work and us kids are off too which means that there is all this free time that we spend together in the house. I have the time but… I don’t know. Sorry Martina, I probably won’t be able to see you tomorrow either which means I’ve blown you off twice in the past two days. Wow, I must be like the world’s greatest friend.
I started playing Neopets again because I had actually planned on reading Deception Point by Dan Brown, the book that Kuljeet gave me for my birthday. I started reading it and I couldn’t stop. It’s like a magnet, everytime I needed something to do I went straight to the book and when I had to do other things it took all my strength to pry myself away from it. I read it in 2 days. I think it was one of the only times I read a book without constantly looking how long until the next chapter or looking at how much I read. It was amazingly good. It’s one of my favourite books of all time. I absolutely love it. Was up until 3 yesterday morning reading it. Last week this is how my fave authors list looked: (hope I haven’t missed anyone)
1. Anthony Horowitz
2. J.K Rowling
3. Jaquline Wilson
4. Andy Griffiths
5. Paul Jennings
(And for those wondering, Christopher Paolini doesn’t get in this list because Eragon is much too long and I was constantly looking at how much I had to endure until the end. Sorry Christopher.) Now the list looks like this:
1. Dan Brown
2. Anthony Horowitz
3. J.K Rowling
4. Jaquline Wilson
5. Andy Griffiths
6. Paul Jennings
Yay, reading is good.
Ok. One of the reasons that I’m opposed to the shopping mall is the fact that there are so many people. The worst bit is when your walking around just looking around and then you look at a person and that person is looking back. Creepy. What’s even worse if you are walking around and you see someone you don’t like, like a teacher. I hate this. So, I have a fool proof plan and tested it out today. What you do is look at the ground and don’t look past people knees. It totally works. If you run into a person you know that you don’t want to talk to, you don’t know for sure it’s them ’cause all you can see is their legs and unless you’re extremely familiar with them there is no problem. Yay. There is one hitch though. If you run into someone that you know and they want to talk to you and you don’t see them waving/ you are so absorbed in looking at the ground and people’s knees you have completely blocked out the world around you, you look like an arrogant prick trying to avoid them. There is also the risk that you may hit you head on something because your looking at the ground. Apart from these two small snags it’s a great plan and I’m going to use it whenever I’m in a shopping mall. Yay. If you see me and I am looking at the ground chances are that if you don’t shout my name/ don’t tackle me I won’t notice that you’re there. And there is no point in waving unless it’s below your knees.
Just before writing this I was on Neopets and decided to check out the forums. Boards/forums are confusing and I don’t like them. I was trying to ask these people a question and they just ignored me. Whatever, they were probably like 10 anyway.
